Tetrachromat Artist Concetta Antico Headlines Hospitality House Exhibition & Fundraiser
to Benefit Local Artists & Community in San Francisco

San Francisco, CA – Tetrachromat artist Concetta Antico headlines exhibition and fundraiser to benefit  community-based organization Hospitality House this summer.

Known for her tetrachromacy that allows her to see 100 millions more colors than the average human due to a fourth color receptor, Concetta is bringing her inspiring and vibrant artistic practice to Hospitality House to celebrate creativity and promote the organization’s mission to help homeless and other low-income San Franciscans.

“My heart and art are deeply aligned with the charitable programs offered at Hospitality House. Healing, helping others, and supporting their own artistic journeys allows me to continue giving back in a meaningful way. Art saved my life, so I firmly believe in its power to save other lives, too.  I am grateful to work alongside such a dedicated team and be an added voice and support to their profound, humanitarian efforts.” – Concetta Antico

The exhibition and fundraiser on June 16, 2022, will include original works, prints, talks, and a painting demonstration. The event will take place at Kapwa Gardens in SoMa, where there will be refreshments.

About Concetta Antico

Concetta Antico is an Australian-American artist, art instructor, and Tetrachromat. As a Tetrachromat, Concetta sees 100 million more colors than regular vision, scientifically endorsed by researchers at UC Irvine, California. Tetrachromacy is a genetic condition that provides her a fourth receptor in her eyes, which makes her especially sensitive to enhancements of color. Concetta’s prolific body of work is noted for its signature use of vibrant color and impressionistic scenes, the result of her visually processing the world differently. The aim throughout all her work is to depict reality unlike anything viewers have experienced before.

She has exhibited throughout the United States and Australia, and her work is in several private and public collections, including Robert and Allison Price, Brian Strauss, Kevin Harrington, the Women’s Museum of California, The Dr. Wendy Martin Museum Collection, Rady Children’s Hospital, and elsewhere. She has been featured in The Cut, Vogue, The Guardian, BBC, The Wall Street Journal and many others. She currently lives and works in San Diego, California.
