Healing House Debuts in Los Angeles with SLS Hotel Beverly Hills
Artist and energy healer Britt Michaelian presents paintings & energy healing modalities in partnership with the luxury & wellness hotel
Beverly Hills, CA – Artist and energy healer Britt Michaelian debuts her art and wellness event Healing House at SLS Hotel Beverly Hills on May 19, 2024, from 3:00 – 6:00 PM. Michaelian will present 20 new paintings in an exhibition, co-curated by Frederick Janka and Wienholt Projects, alongside guided energy healing modalities, including meditations, reiki group healing, sound bathes and a sacred tea ceremony.
Healing House is an annual art and wellness event in which Michaelian and guests co-create a guided visualization, experience the sensations of innovative art, receive healing, and celebrate gratitude through a variety of energy healing modalities. Healing House serves as an introduction to a growing movement in energy healing and stimulating one’s energetic body to find balance, with Michaelian becoming a leading voice in the intersection between energy healing and art.

With a background in art therapy, studying art at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago, and working with recovering patients, Michaelian’s unique work centers healing as a daily practice and integral part of creativity. Amongst her other certifications, Michaelian is a Usui and Karuna Ki Reiki master teacher and BQH quantum healing hypnosis practitioner.
Michaelian will exhibit 20 abstract paintings that combine practices like reiki, quantum healing, sound bathes, as well as sacred rituals and materials, many of which are natural, like powdered crystals and non-toxic plant-based acrylics.
This year’s Healing House will take place at SLS Hotel Beverly Hills, voted #1 hotel in Los Angeles by Condé Nast Traveler Readers’ Choice Awards 2023. Guests will receive a free gift bag followed by several healing modalities, including healing frequency sound, sound bathes with crystal sound bowls, meditation and group reiki healing, a disco dance party, nourishing refreshments, and a gratitude tea ceremony. Holistic mental and emotional health digital studio WellSet, a sponsor of this year’s Healing House, will be providing each guest a month of access to the WellSet app. Michaelian will also host an interview with Jesse Stirling, host and producer of “Meetings with Remarkable People.” Kelly Noonan Gores, director of the documentary film Heal and author of Heal: Discover Your Unlimited Potential and Awaken the Powerful Healer Within, will be recording an interview with Michaelian for an episode of her podcast live at Healing House.

About Britt Michaelian
Britt Michaelian is an artist and healer. Her painting practice incorporates sacred processes and rituals, such as prayer and intention setting, powdered minerals, soil from energy vortexes, healing frequencies, the use of herbs and essential oils, sacred geometry, and quantum healing to create meditative abstract works that explore the theme of Universal life force energy while transmitting healing energy to the viewer.
Michaelian received her BFA from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago, graduate degrees in Art Therapy and Marriage and Family Therapy, and a certification as an expressive arts therapist in the hospital setting. The culmination of these studies, especially art therapy, led to her current practice that seeks to combine art and healing practices. Her art has been exhibited at galleries in Los Angeles, San Francisco, Chicago, New York City, and more, and is in private collections around the world.
Michaelian is an Usui and Karuna Ki Reiki master teacher and BQH quantum healing hypnosis practitioner. She is also the host of The Daily Healing podcast, which launched its second season in December 2023.
She currently lives and works in Southern California.

About Frederick Janka
Frederick Janka is a queer Latinx arts advocate and cultural producer based in Santa Barbara, California, on the unceded traditional lands of the Chumash. He specializes in organizing and fundraising for artists and exhibitions, advocating for the preservation of cultural resources, and centering Black, Brown, and Indigenous solidarity as a practice of healing.
With close to 20 years in the contemporary art world, his vast experience in administrative, fundraising, and curatorial roles at galleries, museums, and arts nonprofits in the US and Mexico include Carolyn Glasoe Bailey Foundation, Museum of Contemporary Art Santa Barbara, SculptureCenter, New Art Dealer’s Alliance and the NADA Art Fair, among others. His current roles include Board President of the Museum of Contemporary Art Santa Barbara, cohort member of the Readying The Museum initiative, and co-founder of JC Connelly, an independent arts consultancy.
